She has mastered program creation, management, development, and oversight geared with accountability and ethics in mind.
She has developed a solid network of referrals, mentors, and advisors. She has also had a high success rate with long term growth of the client always improving regardless of outcome. Therefore she has learned the language of making immigration law accessible and understandable by all. This is a topic that we should all know but rarely ever talk about in traditional schooling from a progressive and dignified standpoint.
Gutiérrez Berríos & Co. seeks to bridge that gap. Iris has additionally developed the understanding regarding the intersectionality of these issues with Cannabis laws and their impact in immigrant and mixed status families in this country.
Additionally, the intersectionality of health and trauma in navigating matters of immigration law has now blossomed into exploration of a healing-centered approaches. She learned this by developing and overseeing rapid response systems and quality control mechanisms to avoid mistakes. From 2017 to 2021, Iris survived what amounted to 1 change in average per day in immigration law.
She is now ready to multiply her efforts in sharing the expertise we should all have access to, while simultaneously providing accessible and healing centered legal services.
